Add a Product Type

This setting is for Organisations working in the food industry. Product Types relate to food safety and are part of the Tell Your Story settings.  They should reflect the food types you work with in your Organisation.  When a Full Story is being told, the product type is selected from a drop-down list. Once you add your product types, they will be available for selection from this list. You will see we have already added some generic types for you. 

Add a new Product Type in the Tell Your Story Settings

1. Click on your Organisation's Name at the top left of the screen.
2. Click Settings.
3. Under Tell Your Story Settings, in the Product Type row, click Add New to go to the New Product Type screen
4. Give the Product a name.
5. Enter a description about the Product. 
6. Click Save to finish. 

Note: Don't change an existing Product type to something else. If it's not relevant, always deactivate it and create a new one, otherwise any stories already told will have the new Product type.
