Create Required Gear Checks
PeopleSafe provides a way for you to keep track of your gear checks, certifications, maintenance etc using 'Gear Checks'. It means all the information is in one place. Expiring gear checks and certifications automatically create tasks so no gear check is forgotten. This article explains how to create a new Gear Check.
We have already created a generic list of Gear Checks you can use to record against your gear.
To create a Gear Check you'll need:
- Security of a PeopleSafe Coordinator or Manage User
Step One:
- Login to PeopleSafe. Click on your Organisation Name on the top left, a small drop-down window will open.
- Click on Settings and a screen will open with all the Settings options, scroll to find Gear Settings.
- Click on Gear Checks in the Gear Settings area, to get to the Gear Checks screen.
Step Two:
- Click on the Add New button at the top right, the New Gear Check screen will open.
- Add the details about the new Gear Check, including how often a check must be done.
- Click the Save button to complete.
- Confirmation screen.
Note: Once you've added a gear check in settings, it can be assigned to a gear type (which you'll also find in Settings) and then begin to add your gear. For example the gear check might be Warrant of Fitness (WoF), the gear type might be Company Vehicles, and the piece of gear might be a Nissan Primera ARG930.
