Add a Gear Check

You can keep track of your gear checks, certifications, maintenance etc using 'Gear Checks'.   Expiring gear checks and certifications automatically create tasks so no gear check is forgotten. We have already created a generic list of Gear Checks you can use to record against your gear.

There are two ways to create Gear Checks. You can create them from:

Gear Settings

  1. Click on your Organisation Name on the top left of the screen.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Under Gear Settings in the Gear Checks row, click Add New.
  4. Enter the details about the new gear check.
  5. Click Save once you're finished.

Note: If you want to look at a list of your current Gear Checks, click Gear Checks in the Gear Settings area.

The Gear Dashboard

  1. Click Gear in the top menu bar.
  2. Click Gear Plant & Buildings.
  3. Click the Add New menu in the top right of the screen.
  4. Click New Gear Check.
  5. Enter the details about the new gear check.
  6. Click Save once you're finished.

More about creating Gear Checks

  • Once you've added a gear check in settings, it can be assigned to a gear type (which you'll also find in Settings) and then begin to add your gear. For example the gear check might be Warrant of Fitness (WoF), the gear type might be Company Vehicles, and the piece of gear might be a Nissan Primera ARG930.
