Login Options - New for 2023

Introducing Single Sign-on and Two Factor Authentication

We're off to a great start in 2023 with some new features and updates to the PeopleSafe Web Application and Mobile App to make your life easier.

We’re seeing more demands on people and businesses than ever which is why we’re absolutely focused on the practical actions to get your staff engaged in, and thinking about safety.

Our latest updates include Single Sign On (SSO) to make logging into the web and mobile app even more convenient, and optional Two Factor Authentication (2FA) to improve login security, plus a number of enhancements to our mobile app being released in the next few days.

PeopleSafe Login

Every User has a PeopleSafe login (Username and Password) that is set up when their account is created.

It's important to remember that this can always be used to log in to PeopleSafe, and that a User remembers their Username, as this is the key to resetting their password should they have any issues with other log in methods.

It will continue to work even if a Single Sign On provider has been linked to their profile.

The following provides information on the alternative ways you can log in, and additional security that you can add to your login.

Single Sign On (SSO)

An Organisation can set up Single Sign On on behalf of a User if the Organisation uses and provides their staff with Microsoft logins.  Please read the following details on how to Mange SSO mapping for your Organisation https://my.peoplesafe.co.nz/settings/sso

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about using Organisation managed Microsoft SSO for your team.

Two Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two Factor Authentication (2FA) - PeopleSafe Login

All Users can turn on Two Factor Authentication for their PeopleSafe login to make it more secure. Adding this second layer of protection to a login significantly reduces the risk of anyone else gaining access to their User Account.

You can tell if Two Factor is turned on for your login if any box on the Two-Factor Authentication screen in the Web or Mobile apps have a green box showing.

If your SSO account has 2FA turned on then you will need to use their second factor when logging into PeopleSafe.  (This is not something PeopleSafe has any control over.)

Login URL

With the January 2023 update, the URL used during the login process changes from https:// my.peoplesafe.co.nz/ to https://auth.peoplesafe.co.nz/.

There is no need for you to update any links or shortcuts; the Main PeopleSafe URL remains the same: https://my.peoplesafe.co.nz/, but if your network whitelist particular URL's https://auth.peoplesafe.co.nz/ will need to be added.
